Can you believe this?? I had been working on getting a video message from President Monson for 3 months for an event Sutherland is hosting on Thursday. Last Friday, I got the great news that President Monson was willing an able on Monday (the same week as the event) to film the message. We were so excited! Katie and I went to the filming of the message and spent an hour an a half listening to the Prophet tell stories about his time with world leaders and traveling around the world. We got to ride with him through the underground tunnels between his office and the conference center where the message was filmed - - on a golf cart. You should have seen the faces of the people we passed who were on their way to the temple.
When we took this picture with him he said "one blone and one brunette, I don't know how my wife will feel about this".
What an experience! Certainly one I will remember for the rest of my life.
