Kaua'i

We went to Kaua'i with Steve's sister Becca, her husband Clint and their little girl Sophia. We went in September - obviously I could be better at updating the blog. We had a great time and here are some highlights. I think Becca had the trip on her blog within 48 hours of getting home :)

4th of July in Salina

We had a great time in Salina with the Moffat/Kerr clan for the 4th of July! We went to the annual Boy Scout breakfast and carnival. Soren won a goldfish in the ring toss. We named the fish Sal (after Salina) and by some miracle he is still with us today. We had a great time with the family and Soren loved playing with all his cousins and Grandpa Ray and Grandma Betty.

We have done a lot of fun things this summer (and still more planned) and I'm going to try and catch up over the next few weeks. haha...yeah right

Soren Hospitalized

Most of you probably knew that Soren was hospitalized in March with a respritory virus called the human metapneumo virus. He is doing much better but here are some shots of that scary time. All of Soren's grandparents visited him and his Aunt Kari did as well. Soren had to be on oxygen after we came home for about a week. Since then he has had pneumonia, a sinus infection, and the rhino virus. His weak little lungs make it easy for him to catch things. You would never know it. He is a happy boy!

Over the break we added a back splash to our kitchen and tiled the bathroom floor. With the help of Uncle Joe and my Mom. Soren helped out too! I don't have before and after photos but here is Soren protecting his ears from all the noise.

In case you didn't get to see it - here is Steve on his 33rd birthday, rockin' a mustache. We were celebrating in Vegas with our friends the Pew's.

She's (Finally) Here!

She is finally here! Sophia Rae Bergstrom, born November 19, 2009 at 10:38 am weighing 8 lbs and 21 1/4 in long. We got to meet her last night. She is so sweet and was very tired. She only opened her eyes for a few minutes. She truly is a bundle of joy. Becca worked so hard to get her here - way to go mamma! Yes, that is a mustache on Steve's lip.

Happy Birthday!

Our little monkey turned one on October 20. We dressed him in his Halloween costume so everyone could see it. Here he is with his great-grandma, great-aunt, and grandma - 4 generations! He was King for a day - here he is on his "throne" opening a gift from Jen and Meg and getting some help tasting his cake.

We had a great vacation in Cabo this summer. Thanks mom and dad!

The Moffats in SoCal

These are the highlights of our trip to Santa Barbara. We went for my work but had a great mini-family vacation. If you start from the bottom up Steve and Soren are enjoying Soren's first plane ride. As we were going through security a teenager came up to us and said "this is my first time on a plane and look at your little guy already flying!" Yep he is lucky and he was a good boy on the plane - he slept most of the time. Moving up is us at the Reagan Library. That is Reagan's actual Airforce One in the background. You get to go through it. That is us in Santa Barbara and Soren and Steve in the pool. Soren can't quite figure out if he like pool's. He doesn't like the ocean, that is for sure. We have video of him screaming his head off to prove it.
